Immerse yourself in Star Wars 8/8/2019 – 1/13/2020

There’s a new Star Wars movie coming out 12/20/2019, which means, you guessed it — an exhibit! Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition will have over 200 items — costumes, parts of the set, concept art, and more for your enjoyment. After the exhibit, all of their props will go to the Lucasfilm Museum in LA, so this will be your last chance to see it in Japan!
It’s being held now at Tokyo Tenozu Isle Warehouse TERRADA, G1 – 5F.
Become a Star Wars Character!
When you enter, you’ll get a bracelet with an ID. There are 10 interactive spaces within the exhibit, and in many of those areas, you can use the bracelet to answer questions and build out your identity as a Star Wars character. You can choose your race and planet, your personality, and more to build out your OC! They’ve hooked it up so you can see your character online and share it over social media.

Getting Tickets
Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition will be selling tickets online prior to your visit.
The exhibit just started, so I imagine it’s very crowded (Star Wars is pretty popular in Japan as well), but if you’re fine with that, I’d say go for it. Otherwise, you have a good few months to experience it.
Online:
– Adult (middle school & older): 3,200 yen
– Children (elementary school): 2,000 yen
At the door:
– Adult (middle school & older): 3,500 yen
– Children (elementary school): 2,300 yen
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
This is the movie that kicked off this exhibit. In theaters 12/20/2019! It’ll be released the same time as the US, so you won’t have to wait for that painfully long dubbing process that Japan used to experience.
