Here comes a new challenger!
A new Capcom store is now open in Shibuya, Tokyo, located next to the new Official Nintendo Store Tokyo and Pokemon Center Shibuya This will be the first and largest Capcom Official store in Tokyo and is located on the 6th floor of the new Parco Department store.
The 6F of the Parco building has been dubbed “Cyberspace Shibuya” and also houses other game, toy and hobby stores such as a Jump Shop and a new Pokemon Center.
The Capcom Store Japanese Twitter has been slowly releasing images of upcoming merch and exclusives that will be available at launch of the store, giving us a taste of things to come. How about some cute tsum tsum style plushies of Ryu or Megaman?
Or maybe Devil May Cry or Ace Attorney Perfume?
The Capcom Store is not as a large as the Nintendo Store or Pokemon Center next door, it looks to have a good range of merch from a lot of their franchises including Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and more.
The store is now open along with the rest of the new Parco Department store. Make sure to add it to your list if you’re a gaming fan and happen to be visiting Shibuya, Tokyo. It may be difficult to actually get into the store during the launch week and weekends. The staff are currently managing the crowds by only letting a few people in at a time.
