An art and exhibition space inside a Ginza department store

Inside the high-end department store Matsuya Ginza on the 8F, there are two rotating exhibits areas featuring everything from refined photography to Care Bears. Most exhibits are in the 600-1,000 yen range, depending on what’s on display.
Here are some exhibits we’ve seen in the past. Check out their official site to see what’s on display now.
Exhibits at Matsuya Ginza
Based on what we’ve seen thus far, Matsuya Ginza tends to have one “refined” type of exhibit, generally geared towards adults, and another one that has anime or something more suitable for kids. They’re on the same floor, so you can check them out if you have some free time. They’re not huge, but if you’re into whatever the subject is, it might be fun to check out.

Here’s one on ikebana that we saw a while back. The people who submitted work here were professional, so this was definitely worth the visit.
Since the exhibits aren’t enormous or anything, you’ll probably only need 15 minutes or so to peruse the works. When you’re done, you can explore the rest of Ginza, or hit up more fun galleries. Enjoy!
