Aoyama Flower Market Tea House is a cafe inside a flower store. Aoyama Flower Market started out as just a flower shop, but when they began a cafe business, they found the perfect food-to-interior fit. In three locations in Tokyo, you’ll find beautiful, photogenic tea houses perfect for sitting and chatting with friends or relaxing with dessert after a long day of sightseeing. I’ve gone more than once, simply because it’s just such a beautiful space to be in.

At first, you might be surprised that a pot of tea could cost so much (I know I did). But when you sit down with the flower parfait and are practicing your food photography, you’ll realize that the gorgeous interior is a perfect backdrop for your noms. Expect to spend around 1,000 yen (about $10~$15 USD).

When you’re done, take a deep breath before heading back out. Aoyama Flower House Tea Market is certainly an oasis in the bustling city.
