An AKIRA Art Exhibition opens 11/22 at the newly renovated PARCO Shibuya

New galleries are opening in Shibuya PARCO, famous for housing the Nintendo Store and Capcom Store. This is their first pop-up gallery — AKIRA ART OF WALL, an AKIRA art exhibition that features the giant collage that surrounded the building during its renovations. It’s pretty symbolic since AKIRA is an 80s manga about a “Neo Tokyo” in 2019!
The exhibit is held on their 4F Parco Museum Tokyo, as well as their B1F Gallery X.
If you’re in the area, come check it out – November 22 to December 16, 2019. Price is 1,000 yen for adults.
Grab Some Original Merchandise
At the exhibit, they’ll have the wall art, original artworks, and posters as well. When you’re walking around, you’ll be able to enjoy some AKIRA music too. They also designed some special AKIRA merch as well, in a collab with an apparel brand.

Getting Tickets for AKIRA ART OF WALL
You can get tickets at the door or via reservation. Even if you’re not getting tickets, it may be a good idea to check, just to get a general sense of how crowded it might be.
