This outdoor music festival is called Forest Festival and is right next to the famous Ghibli Musuem. Similar to the Hanami atmosphere, you will be able to relax in the grass and get to know new people, but at the same time enjoy the music of 5 Japanese bands/musicians. So, the Forest Festival is a great opportunity to take part of Japanese (music festival) culture.
At the event, there will be specialty goods sold by Mitaka’s sister cities, food stands by neighborhood associations/shops, workshops/art crafts sold by Mitaka’s artists and designers, and lovely shops from outside Mitaka city. This year, there will be a shop for Mitaka’s craft beer for the first time. There will also be nature guides hosted by organizations that seeks to protect Inokashira Park’s nature, as well as an area for kids to enjoy shogi.
As referred as the city’s oasis, “Mitaka’s forest,” come enjoy the music, food, and art at Mitaka no Mori Festival!
