02.21-02.23 Shinjuku Some no Komichi – Kimono Fabric Festival – 染の小道 2020

Come by Some no Komichi, a Kimono Fabric Festival, a short hop over from Shinjuku Station.

This festival is about the art of dyeing traditional kimono clothes which was done in this area. Historically, the colorful kimono fabrics were hung outside to dry and in this 3 days you can get a glimpse of this Edo tradition and how it used to be. The river will transform into a piece of art with up to 60 long pieces of kimono fabrics and you will be able to take great and unusual pictures.
